On a tranquil Sunday afternoon in April, I found myself engaged in my first interview with a local newspaper called “The Spirit.” The reporter’s questions were mostly straightforward, though a few caught me off guard.

When asked about my choice of animal characters, I candidly explained that they simply complemented the narrative.The inspiration for my book stemmed directly from my grandchildren, each of whom possessed a unique personality that translated beautifully into animal form.

By observing their interactions, I discovered the perfect way to represent their individual traits. A particularly memorable moment occurred when Matthew and Alexis were conversing in my living room, their dialogue sparking the creative seed that would eventually blossom into my story.

My keen observations of their playful exchanges and distinctive characteristics became the foundation for transforming these real-life personalities into a charming animal-based narrative, breathing life into characters that felt both authentic and imaginative.
